Olli Valtonen has been selected as the new Chief Financial Officer for the technology company Insta Group, and he will begin tending to his duties at the beginning of August at the latest. Profitable growth, safe and sustainable solutions, and diversified in-depth expertise are at the core of the strategy for Insta, which celebrates its 65th anniversary this year.
– Insta has been growing strongly, and we firmly believe that the growth will continue and even accelerate in the future, as long as we dare to take advantage of our very strong financial position and the opportunities offered by the market. With his background, Olli will provide our Management Team with extensive expertise in company and business development that will allow us to support long-term value creation for our owners, says Tapio Kolunsarka, President & CEO for Insta.
At the moment, Olli Valtonen is working as the CFO for Fastems; earlier in his career, he worked for Destia as CFO and in various financial and business development tasks at Ahlström Capital, the Ahlström family’s investment company, and in portfolio companies owned by them.
He will report to the CEO Tapio Kolunsarka and will also be joining the group’s Management Team. In addition to the Finance team, his responsibilities will cover the group’s ICT services.
– Insta is a wonderful, caring family company that has a good reputation as both an employer and a growth company. The company also has a significant role in society that relies on strong and easily relatable values. I firmly believe that we will continue the great story of the company and generate even more value for our customers and stakeholders, Olli Valtonen says.
A technology company exhibiting strong growth – 14th consecutive year of growth
The past year, 2024, brought with it record net sales of €176.2 million and was the fourteenth consecutive year of growth for Insta. For this technology company engaging in responsible business, 2025 is also looking very positive.
Demand for automation and electrification solutions within industry is at a good level. As regards defence solutions, the growth in demand will continue as defence budgets grow and international cooperation increases. In cyber security, the need for our services remains strong, and Insta’s position as a fully Finnish operator within cyber security is an increasingly important differentiator.
Our order backlog at the start of the year is exceptionally high from a historical standpoint, and we are looking to hire close to 100 new Insta team members.
